Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 27 September 2026
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply when you use my website raindropsnook.com and when you buy anything from me, whether it is a handmade item, a made-to-order piece, a digital download or anything else I sell. Please read them carefully before placing an order. They explain who I am, how I sell to you, your rights if something goes wrong and some important limits on what I am responsible for.
If you have any questions, please email me at support@raindropsnook.com before you order.
1. About these Terms
These Terms, together with the policies listed below, form the agreement between you and me. By placing an order you agree to them. If there is any conflict, the more specific policy applies to the matter it deals with.
| Policy | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Returns and Refunds Policy | Cancelling, returning items, faulty goods and how refunds work |
| Shipping Policy | Where I deliver, processing times, delivery costs and lost parcels |
| Digital Product Licence | What you may and may not do with planners, templates, workbooks and patterns |
| Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy | How I use your personal information and cookies |
Consumers and business customers. Most of these Terms apply to everyone. Where the law gives consumers extra rights, I say so. A “consumer” is an individual buying wholly or mainly for purposes outside their trade, business, craft or profession. If you are buying for a business, section 16 also applies to you.
Please save or print a copy of these Terms for future reference. I will also include a link to them in your order confirmation.
2. About me
Raindrop’s Nook is run by me, Ildiko Grof, as a sole trader in the United Kingdom. In these Terms, “I”, “me” and “my” refer to me and my business, and “you” and “your” refer to the person using my website or buying from me.

I aim to reply to all messages within 1 to 2 working days. If I need to contact you, I will use the email address you gave me when you ordered or got in touch.
3. Using my website
You may use my website to browse, learn about my products, contact me and buy from me. When using it, you must not:
- use it in any way that is unlawful or fraudulent, or that could damage the website or disrupt other people’s use of it;
- try to gain unauthorised access to the website, its server or any connected system, or introduce viruses or other harmful material;
- copy, scrape or reuse content, images, product descriptions or designs from the website except as allowed by section 13; or
- send me content that is offensive, defamatory or that infringes anyone else’s rights.
I work hard to keep the website accurate, secure and available, but I cannot promise that it will always be available or free from errors. I may suspend, update or change the website at any time, for example to make improvements or for maintenance.
My website contains links to other websites, such as social media platforms and Stripe’s checkout. I am not responsible for the content or practices of those websites.
4. My products
4.1 What I sell
- Ready-made handmade items: finished pieces such as chunky chenille blankets and throws, which are ready to post.
- Made-to-order and personalised items: blankets, pet beds and other pieces made for you using the size, stitch, colours and any personal details you choose.
- Digital products: downloadable planners, workbooks and Excel systems (including the Professional Landlord Series), templates for teachers and knitting patterns. These are supplied as files by email.
- Books: fiction and children’s books written under the pen name R.N. Firnwood. These are currently sold through Amazon and other retailers, and those purchases are covered by the retailer’s own terms, not these Terms. If I sell books directly through my website in future, these Terms will apply.
4.2 Handmade by nature
Every physical item I sell is made by hand, by me. This means that:
- each piece is unique, and small variations in stitch, tension, shape and finish from the photographs are a natural part of handmade work and are not a fault;
- measurements are approximate. Chunky knitted items can vary by a few centimetres, and may relax slightly with use; and
- colours may look slightly different in real life from how they appear on your screen, because of differences in lighting, photography and device settings.
Product descriptions, sizes and photographs are given in good faith and are as accurate as I can make them. The goods you receive will match their description.
4.3 Digital products
Before you buy a digital product, please check the product page for the file types and any software you need. For example, my Excel systems are designed for recent desktop versions of Microsoft Excel. They may not work fully in other spreadsheet programs or on mobile devices. PDF files can be opened with any standard PDF reader.
My planners, workbooks and templates are organisational tools. They are not financial, investment, tax, legal, property, educational or professional advice. Any calculations depend on the information you enter. Rules and regulations change over time, so you should always check current requirements and take professional advice where appropriate.
5. Prices and payment
- All prices are in pounds sterling (GBP). As I am not VAT registered, no VAT is charged.
- The total price, including any delivery charges, will be shown to you before you pay. For made-to-order items, the price will be confirmed to you in writing before you pay.
- Prices may change from time to time, but changes will not affect orders you have already paid for.
- Pricing errors. Although I take care, occasionally a product may be priced incorrectly. If the correct price is higher than the price you paid, I will contact you before accepting your order to ask whether you would like to continue at the correct price or cancel for a full refund. If the error is obvious and could reasonably have been recognised by you as a mistake, I am not obliged to supply the product at the incorrect price.
- Payment. Payments are taken securely by Stripe, using the payment methods shown at checkout. I never see or store your full card details. Payment is taken in full when you place your order, or when you accept my quote for a made-to-order item.
- Discount codes. Discount and promotional codes must be entered at checkout, can only be used once per order unless stated otherwise, cannot be exchanged for cash and may have an expiry date or other conditions shown when the code is issued.
6. How a contract is formed
How and when a contract is formed depends on what you are buying:
| Product type | How it works | When the contract is formed |
|---|---|---|
| Digital products | You click “Buy now” and pay on Stripe’s secure checkout page. You enter the name to appear on your files and agree to these Terms. | When your payment is confirmed. Your files are then emailed to you. |
| Ready-made items | You order through my website checkout (when available) or ask me by email, and pay the total price. | When I email you to confirm your order has been accepted. Until then, my acknowledgement of payment is not an acceptance. |
| Made-to-order and personalised items | You send an enquiry through my Custom Orders form or by email. I reply to confirm the design, price, delivery cost and estimated timescale, and send you a secure payment request. | When you accept my confirmation and pay. An enquiry on its own is not an order and does not commit you to anything. |
I may decline an order, for example if an item is no longer available, if there is a pricing error, if I cannot deliver to your address or if I reasonably suspect fraud. If I decline your order after you have paid, I will tell you and refund you in full promptly.
Contracts are concluded in English.
7. Digital products
7.1 Delivery of your files
After your payment is confirmed, my website creates personalised copies of your files marked “Registered to” and the name you entered at checkout, and emails them to the address you gave Stripe. This usually takes about 15 minutes, but can occasionally take longer. If your files have not arrived within 24 hours, please check your spam, junk or promotions folder and then email me. I will resend them free of charge.
Please make sure the name and email address you enter at checkout are correct. The name you enter will appear on your files. If you make a mistake, email me and I will reissue your files.
7.2 Your consent to immediate supply
Digital products are supplied straight away. Before you pay, you will be asked to agree that your files will be supplied immediately and to acknowledge that, once supply has begun, you will lose your 14-day right to cancel. I will confirm this in your order email. This does not affect your rights if your files are faulty or not as described (see section 11 and my Returns and Refunds Policy).
7.3 Your licence
When you buy a digital product, you are buying a licence to use it, not ownership of the copyright. Your use of digital products is governed by my Digital Product Licence. In short, you may use the files for the purposes described there, but you may not share, resell, upload or distribute them.
7.4 Keeping your files safe
Please download and save your files when you receive them, and keep a backup. I will try to help if you lose your files, and will normally be able to resend them, but I cannot guarantee that a product will remain available indefinitely.
8. Made-to-order and personalised items
- Checking the details. Before you pay, I will confirm the size, stitch, colours, quantity and any personalisation in writing. Please check this carefully, including the spelling of any names or text. I will make your item exactly as confirmed and cannot accept responsibility for errors in details you have approved.
- Changes. If you would like to change your order, please contact me as soon as possible. I will do my best to help, but once I have started making your item, changes may not be possible or may affect the price or timescale. I will always confirm any change with you first.
- Materials. I use quality materials, mainly 100% polyester chenille yarn. If a colour or yarn you have chosen becomes unavailable, I will contact you to agree an alternative or, if you prefer, cancel your order and give you a full refund.
- Timescales. Made-to-order items are normally dispatched within 2 to 3 weeks, unless I tell you otherwise when confirming your order. I always aim to dispatch sooner where possible. Please see my Shipping Policy.
- Cancellation. Because made-to-order and personalised items are made to your specifications, the usual 14-day right to cancel does not apply to them. This does not affect your rights if the item is faulty or not as described. As a goodwill gesture, you may cancel a made-to-order or personalised order for a full refund within 24 hours of placing it. Please see my Returns and Refunds Policy.
9. Delivery, risk and ownership
Physical items are currently delivered to addresses in mainland UK only. Delivery options, costs and timescales are explained in my Shipping Policy.
- Unless we agree otherwise, I will deliver your order without undue delay and in any event within 30 days after the contract is formed. For made-to-order items, the estimated timescale I give you when confirming your order will apply.
- An item becomes your responsibility (the “risk” passes to you) once it has been delivered to you, or to someone you have nominated to receive it.
- Ownership of a physical item passes to you once I have received payment in full.
10. Your right to cancel
If you are a consumer, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 give you the right to cancel most online purchases within 14 days without giving a reason. This right applies differently to different types of product:
| Product type | Right to cancel |
|---|---|
| Ready-made handmade items | Yes. You can cancel within 14 days of the day you receive the item. |
| Made-to-order and personalised items | No, because they are made to your specifications or clearly personalised. |
| Digital products | No, once supply has started with your express consent and your acknowledgement that the right to cancel is lost (see section 7.2). |
How to cancel, how to return items and how refunds work are explained in my Returns and Refunds Policy, which also includes a model cancellation form you can use.
11. If something is wrong with your order
I am under a legal duty to supply products that are in conformity with our contract. If you are a consumer, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 says that goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described, and that digital content must also meet these standards.
- Physical goods: if an item is faulty or not as described, you can reject it and get a full refund within 30 days of delivery. After that, you can ask me to repair or replace it, and if that is not possible or does not work, you may be entitled to a price reduction or a refund.
- Digital products: if a file is faulty or not as described, you can ask me to repair or replace it. If I cannot do so within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience to you, you may be entitled to a price reduction or a refund. If faulty digital content I supply damages your device or other digital content, and this is because I did not use reasonable care and skill, I will repair the damage or compensate you.
Please contact me as soon as possible if something is wrong. My Returns and Refunds Policy explains what to do. Nothing in these Terms affects your legal rights. For detailed information, visit the Citizens Advice website or call 0808 223 1133.
12. Product safety and care
- Baby blankets. Blankets described as baby or pram blankets are intended for supervised use only, for example during cuddles, playtime or in a pram while the baby is watched. In line with safe sleep advice, do not place any loose blanket, including chunky knitted blankets, in a cot, Moses basket or crib with a sleeping baby, and do not use them to cover a sleeping baby under 12 months.
- Small children. Do not leave young children unattended with knitted items. Check items regularly and stop using them if any loops become loose or damaged.
- Pet beds and pets. Check pet beds regularly for damage. Remove any damaged bed, and supervise pets that chew, as swallowing yarn can be harmful.
- Heat and flame. Keep textiles away from open fires, heaters and other sources of heat or flame.
- Care. Please follow the care guidance on my website and any care label supplied. Damage caused by not following the care instructions is not a fault.
13. Intellectual property
All content on my website and in my products, including text, photographs, graphics, logos, product designs, knitting patterns, planners, templates, spreadsheets, formulas and layouts, is owned by me or used with permission, and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. “Raindrop’s Nook”, “Professional Landlord Series” and my other product and collection names and logos are my trade names.
You may view and print pages from my website for your own personal, non-commercial use, for example to keep a record of your order. You must not otherwise copy, reproduce, distribute, adapt, sell or publish any of my content, designs or products, or use my photographs, without my written permission. Your right to use digital products you buy is set out in my Digital Product Licence.
14. Reviews, photos and content you send me
I love seeing your finished makes and hearing what you think. If you send me a review, message or photograph (for example of a blanket you have made from one of my patterns) and you agree that I may share it, you give me a free, non-exclusive permission to use it on my website, social media and marketing materials, credited in the way you ask. I will only include your name if you agree, and you can ask me to remove it at any time. You must only send me content that you own or have permission to share, and that does not show other people without their consent.
15. My responsibility to you
15.1 If you are a consumer
- I am responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of my breaking these Terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. Loss or damage is foreseeable if it is obvious that it will happen, or if we both knew it might happen when the contract was made.
- I only supply products for domestic and private use. I am not responsible for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity.
- I am not responsible for decisions you make, or their results, based on information you enter into or record in my planners, workbooks or templates, as these are organisational tools and not advice (see section 4.3).
- I am not responsible for the finished result of items you make using my patterns, which will depend on the materials, tools, tension and skill used.
15.2 What I do not exclude
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes my liability for death or personal injury caused by my negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for breach of your legal rights in relation to products (including under the Consumer Rights Act 2015), for defective products under the Consumer Protection Act 1987, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law.
16. If you are buying as a business
If you buy as a business, for example buying a Professional Landlord Series system for your property company, or buying digital templates for use in your business, the following also applies:
- the cancellation rights in section 10 and the consumer rights described in section 11 do not apply to you, but I will still replace or refund products that are faulty or not as described;
- to the extent permitted by law, all terms implied by law are excluded, other than the implied terms as to title in section 12 of the Sale of Goods Act 1979;
- I will not be liable to you for any loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill, data or anticipated savings, or for any indirect or consequential loss; and
- subject to section 15.2, my total liability to you in connection with any order will not exceed the price you paid for that order.
17. Events outside my control
I will not be responsible for delays or failure to perform caused by events outside my reasonable control, such as severe weather, illness, strikes, courier or postal disruption, internet or hosting failures or shortages of materials. If this happens, I will contact you as soon as possible and take reasonable steps to minimise the delay. If there is a significant delay, you may cancel your order and receive a refund for anything you have paid for but not received.
18. Changes to these Terms and to my products
I may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the law or in how I run my business. The version that applies to your order is the version published on my website when you placed it. I may also update or withdraw products. Improvements to digital products, such as corrections or updated editions, may be offered to existing customers at my discretion.
19. Complaints and disputes
If you are unhappy with anything, please email me at support@raindropsnook.com. I will acknowledge your complaint within 2 working days and aim to resolve it within 14 days. Most problems can be sorted out quickly and informally.
If we cannot resolve a dispute, you may wish to contact Citizens Advice for guidance. I am not obliged to use, and do not currently use, an alternative dispute resolution provider. Nothing prevents you from taking your claim to court.
20. General
- Transfer. I may transfer my rights and obligations under these Terms to someone else, for example if I sell my business. I will tell you if this happens and it will not reduce your rights. You may only transfer your rights to someone else with my written agreement.
- Third parties. These Terms are between you and me. No other person has any right to enforce them.
- If part of these Terms is invalid. Each section operates separately. If a court decides that any part is unlawful, the rest will remain in full force.
- Delays in enforcing. If I do not insist immediately on you doing something you are required to do, or if I delay taking steps, that does not mean I cannot do so later.
21. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland, you can also bring proceedings in the Scottish courts, and if you live in Northern Ireland, in the courts of Northern Ireland. If you are a consumer living outside the UK, you will also benefit from any mandatory protections of the law of the country where you live.

Privacy Policy
Last updated: 27 September 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information I collect when you visit my website, contact me, sign up to hear from me or buy from me, why I collect it, how I look after it, who I share it with and the rights you have over it. I have tried to write it in plain English. If anything is unclear, please email me at support@raindropsnook.com and I will be happy to explain.
This policy should be read alongside my Cookie Policy, Terms and Conditions, Returns and Refunds Policy, Shipping Policy and Digital Product Licence, which are available on the Terms & Policies page of my website.
1. Who I am
Raindrop’s Nook is a small, independent business run by me, Ildiko Grof, as a sole trader based in the United Kingdom. I make and sell handmade home-comfort items (such as blankets and pet beds), made-to-order and personalised pieces, downloadable digital products (including planners, workbooks and knitting patterns), and fiction and children’s books written under the pen name R.N. Firnwood.
For the purposes of UK data protection law, I am the controller of the personal information described in this policy. That means I decide how and why it is used, and I am responsible for looking after it.
| Details | |

| Business name | Raindrop’s Nook |
| Operated by | Ildiko Grof, sole trader |
| Website | https://raindropsnook.com |
| support@raindropsnook.com | |
| ICO registration number | [ICO registration number – to be added] |
Because Raindrop’s Nook is a one-person business, I have not appointed a Data Protection Officer, and I am not required to. I deal with all privacy questions personally.
2. The laws this policy follows
I handle personal information in accordance with the UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).
The UK’s data protection regulator is the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
3. Privacy at a glance
The table below is a short summary. Each point is explained in more detail later in this policy.
| What I collect | Why I use it | Lawful basis |
|---|---|---|
| Name and email address when you buy a digital product | To process your order, personalise your files with your name and email them to you | Contract |
| Name, email, delivery address and order details for handmade or made-to-order items | To quote, make, post and support your order | Contract / steps before a contract |
| Messages you send through my contact or custom order forms, by email or on social media | To reply to you and help with your enquiry | Legitimate interests / contract |
| Your email address if you join my newsletter | To send you news, new releases and offers | Consent |
| Payment confirmation from Stripe (never your full card number) | To confirm payment, handle refunds and prevent fraud | Contract / legal obligation / legitimate interests |
| Website usage information (pages visited, device type, approximate country) | To understand how the website is used and improve it | Legitimate interests (and the PECR analytics exception) |
| Security information such as IP addresses | To keep the website safe from attacks and misuse | Legitimate interests |
| Order and financial records | To keep accounts and meet tax obligations | Legal obligation |
I never sell your personal information, and I do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling that has legal or similarly significant effects on you.
4. The information I collect
4.1 Information you give me
- When you buy a digital product. Stripe, my payment provider, collects your email address, your name (which you enter so it can be printed on your personalised files) and your payment details. Stripe passes your name, email address and order details back to me so I can deliver your files.
- When you order or enquire about a handmade or made-to-order item. Your name, email address, the product, size, colours and pattern choices you select, any personalisation details (for example a name to be included in a design), your delivery address and any other information you choose to give me in the “Tell me more” box or in follow-up messages.
- When you contact me. Your name, email address and the content of your message, whether you use the contact form on my website, email me directly or message me on social media.
- When you join my newsletter. Your email address, the date you signed up and where on the website you signed up.
- When you leave feedback or a review. Your comments and the name or initials you want displayed. I will only publish a review with your name if you have agreed to it.
- When you exercise your rights or make a complaint. The information needed to identify you and respond to your request.
Please do not send me sensitive information (such as health information) unless it is genuinely needed for your order, for example if a made-to-order item needs to take account of an allergy or sensitivity. If you do share it, I will use it only for that purpose.
4.2 Information collected automatically
- Website analytics. I use Stats Audit, a visitor statistics plugin installed on my own website (I do not use Google Analytics). It records the pages you visit, the page you came from, any campaign tags in the link, your device type, operating system and browser, time spent on the page and your approximate country. To avoid counting the same visitor twice, it stores a random identifier in your browser’s local storage and uses a one-way scrambled (“hashed”) code created from your IP address and browser details, which changes every day. Your full IP address is not stored in the analytics records.
- Approximate location. To work out your country, your IP address is briefly sent to an IP-location service (ipapi.co). Only the country name is kept.
- Security logs. My website’s security firewall (Wordfence) records IP addresses, browser information, the pages requested and login attempts in order to block attacks, spam and suspicious activity.
- Cookie choices. When you accept, reject or change your cookie preferences, a record of your choice is kept with a random identifier, so the website can remember it and I can show that your choice was respected.
- Server logs. Like all websites, my hosting provider automatically logs technical information such as IP addresses and the date and time of requests, to keep the service running and secure.
More detail about cookies and similar technologies is set out in section 11 and in my Cookie Policy.
4.3 Information from third parties
- Stripe tells me whether your payment succeeded and gives me your name, email address, the product purchased and payment references. It may also share limited details such as your billing country, card type and the last four digits of your card, which help me identify a payment if you contact me about it.
- Delivery companies give me tracking and delivery status updates for parcels I send to you.
- Social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest) show me your username and any message or comment you send me there.
5. How I use your information and my lawful bases
Data protection law says I must have a valid reason, called a “lawful basis”, for each way I use your personal information. These are the reasons I rely on:
| Purpose | Lawful basis | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Processing and delivering digital orders, including creating your personalised, name-stamped files and emailing them to you | Contract | I cannot supply your files without this information. |
| Quoting, making, personalising, packing and posting handmade and made-to-order items | Contract, or taking steps at your request before entering a contract | Includes sharing your address with the delivery company. |
| Answering questions, providing customer service and handling returns, refunds and cancellations | Contract / legitimate interests | My legitimate interest is helping customers and running my business well. |
| Sending my newsletter and marketing emails | Consent | You can withdraw consent at any time (see section 9). |
| Protecting my digital products and copyright by printing the buyer’s name on their files | Contract / legitimate interests | This discourages unauthorised copying and sharing. See section 7. |
| Understanding how the website is used and improving it | Legitimate interests | Uses the PECR “statistical purposes” exception; you can object (see section 11). |
| Keeping the website, payments and my business secure, and preventing fraud | Legitimate interests / legal obligation | |
| Keeping accounting and tax records | Legal obligation | HM Revenue & Customs requires me to keep business records. |
| Dealing with disputes, chargebacks and legal claims | Legitimate interests / legal obligation | |
| Publishing reviews and testimonials that include your name | Consent | Reviews are only published with your name if you agree. |
Where I rely on legitimate interests, I have considered whether my interests are balanced against your rights and expectations. I only rely on this basis where the use is something you would reasonably expect and has minimal impact on your privacy. You have the right to object to it (see section 14).
If you do not provide information that I need to fulfil a contract (for example, a delivery address for a handmade item), I may not be able to complete your order.
6. Payments and Stripe
All online payments on my website are handled by Stripe. When you click “Buy now”, you are taken to a secure checkout page hosted by Stripe. Your card or payment details are entered directly into Stripe’s systems and are never seen or stored by me. Stripe is certified to the highest level of the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).
Stripe creates a customer record for each purchase so that payments, refunds and disputes can be managed. Stripe acts:
- as my processor when it processes your payment on my behalf; and
- as an independent controller for some purposes of its own, such as preventing fraud, meeting its legal and regulatory obligations and improving its services.
You can read how Stripe uses personal information in its Privacy Policy. Stripe may process data outside the UK (see section 12).
Other payment providers and sales channels. At the moment Stripe is the only payment provider on my website. In future I may also offer other payment methods (such as PayPal) or sell through third-party platforms or retailers (for example, for my books). Where you buy through another company’s platform, that company will normally be a controller of your information under its own privacy policy. I will update this policy before I start using any new payment provider on my own website.
7. Digital products and name-stamping
When you buy a digital product (such as a planner, workbook or knitting pattern), my website automatically creates a personalised copy of your files. Each page of PDF files, and the footer of spreadsheet files, is marked “Registered to” followed by the name you entered at checkout. The files are then emailed to the address you gave Stripe.
I do this to protect my copyright and to help show that each copy was legitimately purchased. It also means that:
- your name will appear inside your files. If you share, forward or upload your files (which my Digital Product Licence does not allow), your name will travel with them;
- you may enter the name of the person the files are for, for example if you are buying for your business, as long as you have their permission; and
- I keep a record of each order (your name, email address, the product purchased, Stripe payment references and the date the files were sent) so that I can resend lost files, answer questions, provide proof of purchase and deal with any misuse of my products.
Your personalised files are deleted from my server as soon as they have been emailed to you. I do not track how, where or how often you open your files once they have been delivered.
8. Handmade and made-to-order items
For handmade and made-to-order items, I use your contact details and order preferences to discuss your order, give you a quote, confirm the details, make your item and send it to you. If you ask for personalisation, such as a name or date worked into a design, I will use those details only to make your item.
To deliver your order, I share your name, delivery address and, where needed, your email address or phone number with my delivery company (currently Evri, and occasionally Royal Mail or another UK courier), so that they can deliver your parcel and send you tracking updates. Delivery companies use this information in line with their own privacy policies.
At present I only deliver to addresses in mainland UK. If I begin shipping internationally, I will update this policy to explain any additional information needed for customs and international carriers.
9. Newsletter and marketing
If you choose to join my newsletter (for example, through the “Join the Raindrop Community” sign-up on my website), I will use your email address to send you occasional news about new products, new releases, special offers and events. New subscribers may be offered a welcome discount.
- I only send marketing emails with your consent. Joining the newsletter is always optional and is never a condition of buying from me.
- How your details are stored. At the moment I write and send my newsletter myself. Sign-ups are stored securely in my own website’s database, and emails are sent from my business email account, which is hosted by IONOS. I do not currently use a third-party newsletter platform (such as Mailchimp or Kit). If I start using one, I will update this policy and tell subscribers before their details are moved.
- How to unsubscribe. You can unsubscribe at any time, free of charge, by using the unsubscribe link or instruction in any newsletter, or by emailing support@raindropsnook.com. I will stop sending you marketing emails promptly and in any event within 28 days.
- Suppression list. After you unsubscribe, I keep your email address on a short “do not contact” list so that I do not accidentally email you again.
Buying from me does not automatically sign you up for marketing. I will still send you service emails about your order, such as delivery of your files, order confirmations or answers to your questions, because they are needed to fulfil your order.
10. Who I share your information with
I only share your personal information where it is needed for the purposes described in this policy. The organisations I work with are:
| Organisation | What they do for me | Location of processing |

Service providers who act on my behalf (processors) may only use your information to provide their services to me, under written terms that require them to keep it secure and confidential.
11. Cookies, local storage and similar technologies
My website uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies. When you first visit, a banner lets you accept all, reject all or manage your preferences. You can change your choice at any time using the cookie icon on the website.
- Essential technologies are needed for the website to work and stay secure (for example, remembering your cookie choice and protecting against attacks). These cannot be switched off.
- Analytics uses the privacy-friendly tool described in section 4.2. The law allows this type of analytics to be used without prior consent, provided I explain it clearly and give you a simple, free way to object. You can object at any time by switching analytics off under “Manage preferences”.
- Marketing cookies. I do not currently use advertising or tracking cookies. If I ever do, they will only be used if you have opted in.
Full details, including the name, purpose and duration of each item, are in my Cookie Policy.
12. International transfers
Some of the service providers listed in section 10 are based in, or use systems in, countries outside the UK, including the European Economic Area and the United States. Where your information is transferred outside the UK, I make sure it is protected by one of the safeguards recognised by UK law, such as:
- the country having been recognised by the UK Government as providing adequate protection (this includes the EEA countries);
- the UK-US Data Bridge, where the US company has certified under it; or
- the International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, which are built into many providers’ data processing terms.
You can contact me for more information about the safeguards that apply to a particular transfer.
13. How long I keep your information
I keep personal information only for as long as I need it for the purposes it was collected for, including to meet legal, tax and accounting requirements. When I no longer need it, I securely delete or anonymise it.
| Type of information | How long I keep it | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Order records, invoices and payment references (digital and physical) | 6 years from the end of the tax year in which the order was placed | HMRC record-keeping rules and the time limit for contract claims |
| Digital product delivery records (name, email, product, date sent) | 6 years from purchase | Resending files, proof of purchase and protecting my copyright |
| Personalised digital files created for you | Deleted from my server as soon as they have been emailed to you | If files need resending, a fresh personalised copy is created from the order record |
| Custom order enquiries and quotes that do not lead to an order | 12 months from the last contact | In case you return to the enquiry |
| General correspondence and contact form messages | 2 years from the last contact, or longer if related to an order | Customer service and handling any follow-up |
| Newsletter subscribers | Until you unsubscribe, or after 2 years without opening any email, after which I may ask you to re-confirm | Consent-based marketing |
| Unsubscribe (“do not contact”) list | Indefinitely, limited to your email address | To respect your request not to be contacted |
| Website analytics records | Up to 24 months | Comparing website use over time |
| Security logs | Up to 90 days, unless needed to investigate an incident | Keeping the website secure |
| Cookie consent records | Your choice is saved on your device for 6 months, after which you will be asked again; my record of your choice is kept for up to 12 months | Showing that your choice was respected |
| Information about complaints, disputes or legal claims | Until the matter is resolved plus 6 years | Establishing, exercising or defending legal claims |
14. Your rights
You have the following rights over your personal information. Some rights only apply in certain circumstances.
- Right to be informed: to be told how your information is used, which is what this policy does.
- Right of access: to ask for a copy of the personal information I hold about you (sometimes called a “subject access request”).
- Right to rectification: to ask me to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Right to erasure: to ask me to delete your information where I no longer have a good reason to keep it. I may need to keep some information, such as order records, to meet my legal obligations.
- Right to restrict processing: to ask me to limit how I use your information, for example while a correction is being checked.
- Right to object: to object to my use of your information where I rely on legitimate interests. You have an absolute right to object to direct marketing.
- Right to data portability: to receive information you gave me in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format, or to ask me to send it to another organisation, where processing is based on consent or contract and carried out by automated means.
- Right to withdraw consent: where I rely on your consent (for example, for the newsletter), you can withdraw it at any time. This does not affect anything done before you withdrew it.
- Rights relating to automated decision-making: I do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects.
How to exercise your rights
Email me at support@raindropsnook.com, or write to me using the contact details in section 22. You do not need to use any special form, and there is no charge in most cases.
I will respond within one month of receiving your request. If your request is complex, or you make several requests, I may extend this by up to two further months, and I will tell you if I need to. I may ask you for information to confirm your identity before I respond, to make sure I do not give your information to the wrong person. I may charge a reasonable fee, or refuse, if a request is clearly unfounded or excessive.
15. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how I have handled your personal information, please contact me first at support@raindropsnook.com so that I can try to put things right. I will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days, look into it without undue delay and let you know the outcome.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at any time:
| Information Commissioner’s Office | |
|---|---|
| Website | ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint |
| Telephone | 0303 123 1113 |
| Post | Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF |
16. How I keep your information secure
I take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, alteration and disclosure. These include:
- encrypted (HTTPS) connections across the whole website;
- payments handled entirely on Stripe’s secure, PCI DSS-certified checkout, so card details never reach my website;
- a website firewall and malware scanning;
- restricted, password-protected administrator access with additional login protection;
- regular software updates and secure backups; and
- only keeping information for as long as I need it.
No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but I work hard to protect your information. If a personal data breach occurs that is likely to put your rights and freedoms at risk, I will report it to the ICO within 72 hours where required, and tell you without undue delay if the risk to you is high.
17. Children
I sell children’s books and some items that may be bought for children. However, my website and online shop are intended for use by adults. Purchases should be made by, or with the permission of, a parent or guardian.
I do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has given me personal information, please contact me and I will delete it.
If you ask me to personalise an item with a child’s name or other details (for example, a blanket made as a gift), I will use those details only to make the item and will keep them no longer than my normal order records.
18. Links to other websites and social media
My website contains links to other websites and social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest. I am not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites. When you visit them or interact with me there, their own privacy policies apply, and I encourage you to read them.
19. Customers outside the UK
My business is based in the UK and I currently sell mainly to UK customers. My digital products can be bought from outside the UK. Whatever country you are in, I will handle your personal information in line with this policy and UK data protection law.
As my business grows, I may begin shipping physical products internationally. If I do, and particularly if I begin actively selling to customers in the European Union, I will review this policy and update it where local laws require additional information.
20. Sale or restructuring of the business
If I sell, transfer or restructure all or part of Raindrop’s Nook, customer information may be transferred to the new owner so that they can continue operating the business, subject to applicable data protection laws. The new owner would be required to use your information in line with this policy, and you would be told about the change.
21. Changes to this policy
I may update this policy from time to time, for example if I start using a new service provider, begin shipping internationally or if the law changes. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it was last changed. If I make significant changes that affect how I use information you have already given me, I will tell you by email or through a notice on my website before the change takes effect.

Cookie Policy
Last updated: 27 September 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Raindrop’s Nook uses cookies and similar technologies on raindropsnook.com, what each one does, how long it lasts and how you can control it. I keep the number of cookies on my website to a minimum: I do not use advertising cookies, and I do not allow third parties to track you across other websites.
This policy should be read alongside my Privacy Policy, which explains how I handle personal information more generally, including your rights and how to contact me.
1. Who I am
Raindrop’s Nook is run by Ildiko Grof, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom. In this policy, “I”, “me” and “my” refer to me and my business, and “you” refers to anyone visiting my website. You can contact me at support@raindropsnook.com.
2. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your computer, phone or tablet when you visit. They let the website recognise your device and remember information, such as the choices you have made.
Websites can also use similar technologies, which are covered by this policy in the same way as cookies:
- Local storage: a small amount of information saved by your web browser for a particular website. It stays on your device until you, your browser or the website deletes it.
- Session storage: similar to local storage, but deleted automatically when you close the browser tab.
- Tracking pixels: tiny invisible images, sometimes used in websites or emails to record whether something has been viewed. I do not use these.
Cookies and similar technologies can be:
- First-party, set by the website you are visiting (here, raindropsnook.com); or third-party, set by another company’s service used on the website.
- Session, deleted when you close your browser; or persistent, which remain for a set period or until you delete them.
3. At a glance
| Category | Do I use them? | Can you switch them off? |
|---|---|---|
| Essential: security, remembering your cookie choices | Yes | No. They are needed for the website to work and keep it secure. |
| Functional: supporting the way pages display | Yes, very limited | Only by blocking them in your browser, which may affect how pages display. |
| Analytics: counting visits and understanding how the website is used | Yes. First-party only, not Google Analytics | Yes, at any time, using “Cookie Settings”. |
| Advertising and marketing: targeted ads, retargeting, cross-site tracking | No | Not applicable. |
4. The rules I follow
Cookies and similar technologies are regulated in the UK by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR). Where they involve personal information, the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 also apply. In summary:
- Strictly necessary technologies, which are essential to provide the website you have asked to use or to keep it secure, can be used without asking for your consent.
- Analytics used only to produce statistics that help me improve my website can be used without prior consent, provided I explain it clearly (which I do in this policy) and give you a simple, free way to object. You can object at any time through “Cookie Settings”.
- All other non-essential cookies, such as advertising cookies, may only be used if you have given your consent. I do not currently use any.
I will never make access to my website or shop conditional on accepting non-essential cookies.
5. The cookies and similar technologies I use
The tables below list the cookies and similar technologies used on my website, what they do and how long they last. Names ending in an asterisk (*) include a unique code that varies from device to device.
5.1 Essential
| Name | Type and provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| trust_armory | First-party cookie and local storage (Trust Armory consent tool) | Remembers whether you accepted, rejected or customised cookies, so the banner does not reappear on every page | 6 months (cookie); until cleared (local storage) |
| trust_armory_visitor_id | First-party local storage (Trust Armory consent tool) | A random code linking your device to the record of your cookie choice, so I can show your choice was respected | Until cleared |
| wfwaf-authcookie-* wf_loginalerted_* wfCBLBypass | First-party cookies (Wordfence security) | Security and firewall cookies. These are only set for people who log in to manage the website (me), or if a security block needs to be bypassed. Ordinary visitors do not normally receive them. | Session to 12 months |
| wordpress_* wordpress_logged_in_* wp-settings-* wordpress_test_cookie | First-party cookies (WordPress) | Keep website administrators logged in and remember their dashboard settings. Not set for ordinary visitors, as the website has no customer accounts. | Session to 12 months |
5.2 Functional
| Name | Type and provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| elementor | First-party local and session storage (Elementor page builder) | May be used by the software that builds my website pages to support display features. It does not identify or track you. | Until cleared (local storage); end of browsing session (session storage) |
5.3 Analytics
| Name | Type and provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| sta_vid | First-party local storage (Stats Audit, installed on my own website) | A random code that stops the same visitor being counted more than once, so I can see how many people visit, which pages are popular and how long visitors stay | Until cleared |
Durations are approximate. You can delete cookies and local storage at any time (see section 10).
6. Website analytics in more detail
I use Stats Audit, a visitor statistics plugin installed on my own website. I do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel or any similar third-party tracking service. Stats Audit helps me understand which pages and products people are interested in, where visitors arrive from and whether the website works well on phones and computers.
It records:
- the pages you visit, the page title and how long you spend on each page;
- the website or link that brought you here, including any campaign tags in the link;
- your device type (for example, mobile or desktop), operating system and browser; and
- your approximate country.
To avoid counting the same visitor twice, it stores the random code “sta_vid” on your device and creates a one-way scrambled (“hashed”) code from your IP address and browser details, which changes every day and cannot be turned back into your IP address. To work out your country, your IP address is briefly sent to an IP-location service (ipapi.co), and only the country name is kept. Your full IP address is not stored in the analytics records.
The analytics information stays on my website. It is used only to produce statistics for me, is not shared for advertising and is not used to build a profile of you. I keep analytics records for up to 24 months.
How to object: open “Cookie Settings” (the cookie icon in the bottom-left corner of every page) and switch analytics off. You can also clear your browser’s site data for raindropsnook.com to remove the sta_vid code.
7. Advertising and marketing cookies
I do not use advertising, retargeting or social media tracking cookies, and I do not sell or share information about your visit with advertisers.
If I decide to use them in future, for example to advertise my products on social media, I will update this policy first and will only use them if you actively opt in through the cookie banner. They will be switched off by default.
8. Third-party services
8.1 Stripe checkout
When you click “Buy now”, you leave my website and go to a secure checkout page run by Stripe on its own website (checkout.stripe.com). Stripe uses its own cookies and similar technologies on that page, mainly to process your payment securely and to prevent fraud. These are controlled by Stripe, not by me, and are explained in Stripe’s Cookies Policy. Because they are needed to complete a secure payment, they cannot normally be switched off if you want to buy.
8.2 Google Fonts
Some of the typefaces on my website are provided by Google Fonts. To display them, your browser connects to Google’s servers, which receive your IP address and browser information. Google Fonts does not set cookies. You can read more in Google’s Privacy Policy.
8.3 Social media links
My website includes links to my pages on Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest. These are ordinary links, not embedded feeds or “like” buttons, so they do not place any cookies while you are on my website. If you click them, you will be taken to that platform, and its own cookie and privacy policies will apply.
8.4 Future embedded content
In future I may add embedded content such as video tutorials for my knitting patterns (for example, from YouTube or Vimeo). Where these providers set non-essential cookies, I will use privacy-enhanced settings where available, ask for your consent before the content loads, and update this policy.
9. Emails
I do not use tracking pixels or similar technologies in my emails, including order emails and newsletters. I cannot see whether or when you open an email from me.
At the moment I write and send my newsletter myself, from my own business email account. If I start using a newsletter platform that offers open or click tracking, I will update this policy and my Privacy Policy before using those features, and will only use them where the law allows.
10. Managing your preferences
10.1 Using the cookie banner and Cookie Settings
When you first visit my website, a banner lets you choose Accept All, Reject All or Manage Preferences. Essential cookies are always on. Analytics can be switched on or off.
You can change your choice at any time by clicking the cookie icon (“Cookie Settings”) in the bottom-left corner of any page. Your new choice takes effect straight away and applies to future visits. Your choice is saved for 6 months, after which the banner will ask you again.
10.2 Using your browser settings
Most browsers let you view, block or delete cookies and other site data. Clearing “cookies and site data” for raindropsnook.com will also remove local storage items such as sta_vid. Help pages for the most common browsers:
If you block all cookies, some parts of my website may not work properly. For example, the website will not be able to remember your cookie choice, so the banner may appear on every visit.
10.3 Browser privacy signals
Some browsers can send a “Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control” signal. My website does not currently respond to these signals automatically, but as I do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, the only optional technology in use is first-party analytics, which you can switch off using “Cookie Settings”.
11. Changes to this policy
I review this policy regularly and will update it if I change the cookies or similar technologies on my website, start using a new service or if the law changes. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it was last changed. If a change means I need your consent for something new, the cookie banner will ask you again.
12. Contact me

Returns and Refunds Policy
Last updated: 27 September 2026
I want you to love everything you buy from Raindrop’s Nook. This policy explains your right to cancel an order, how to return an item, what happens if something is faulty and how refunds work. It forms part of my Terms and Conditions.
Your legal rights are not affected by this policy. If there is anything you are unsure about, please email me at support@raindropsnook.com.
1. At a glance
| Product | Change of mind | Faulty, damaged or not as described |
|---|---|---|
| Ready-made handmade items | Cancel within 14 days of receiving your item. Return it within 14 days of telling me. You pay the return postage. | Full refund within 30 days of delivery, or a repair or replacement. I cover reasonable return costs. |
| Made-to-order and personalised items | You may cancel for a full refund within 24 hours of placing your order. After that, cancellation is not available, as the item is made to your specifications (see section 4). | Repair, replacement or refund, in line with your legal rights. I cover reasonable return costs. |
| Digital products | Not available once your files have been supplied with your consent. | Corrected or replacement files, or a price reduction or refund if I cannot fix the problem. |
| Books bought from Amazon or other retailers | Contact the retailer you bought from. | Contact the retailer you bought from. |
2. Faulty, damaged or incorrect items
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the goods and digital content I supply must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described.
2.1 What to do
- Email me at support@raindropsnook.com as soon as possible, and ideally within 48 hours of delivery if an item has arrived damaged. This helps me make a claim with the courier. Letting me know later does not affect your legal rights.
- Please include your name, your order details, a short description of the problem and, for physical items, clear photographs of the item and its packaging.
- Please keep the item and its packaging until we have agreed what will happen.
2.2 Your rights for physical items
- Within 30 days of delivery: you are entitled to reject the item and receive a full refund.
- After 30 days: you can ask me to repair or replace the item. If a repair or replacement is not possible, or does not fix the problem, you may be entitled to a price reduction or a refund. A deduction may be made from a refund after 30 days to reflect the use you have had from the item, except in the first six months.
- Within six months of delivery: a fault is presumed to have been present when you received the item, unless I can show otherwise. After six months, you may need to show that the fault was present at delivery.
- Return costs: if an item is faulty, damaged or not as described, I will pay the reasonable cost of returning it. I may ask you to use a prepaid label that I send you, or reimburse your postage costs on receipt of proof of postage.
- Incorrect items: if I have sent you the wrong item, I will arrange for the correct item to be sent and cover the cost of returning the incorrect one.
Your legal right to claim for faulty goods lasts for up to six years (five years from discovery in Scotland), but the longer you have had an item, the more wear and tear will be taken into account.
3. Changing your mind about a ready-made item
If you are a consumer, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 give you the right to cancel an order for a ready-made item within 14 days without giving any reason.
3.1 How long you have
The cancellation period ends 14 days after the day you, or someone you nominate (other than the courier), receive the item. If your order is split into several deliveries, it ends 14 days after you receive the last item.
3.2 How to cancel
To cancel, you must tell me clearly before the cancellation period ends. You can do this by:
- emailing me at support@raindropsnook.com; or
- using the model cancellation form in section 10 (you do not have to use it).
Please include your name, your order details and the date you received the item. I will confirm by email that I have received your cancellation.
3.3 Returning the item
- Please send the item back to me within 14 days of the day you tell me you are cancelling. I will give you the return address.
- You are responsible for the cost of returning the item. As chunky blankets are bulky, return postage may be higher than for a standard parcel. I recommend using a tracked service and keeping proof of postage, as the item is your responsibility until it reaches me.
- Please pack the item carefully, ideally in its original packaging, so it is not damaged in transit.
3.4 Condition of returned items
You may handle and examine the item as you would in a shop to decide whether you want to keep it. If the item has been used, washed, damaged, exposed to smoke, pet hair or strong odours, or otherwise handled beyond what is needed to examine it, I may reduce your refund to reflect its loss in value. In some cases, this could be up to the full price.
3.5 Your refund
- I will refund the price you paid for the item and the cost of standard delivery to you. If you chose a more expensive delivery option, I will only refund the cost of standard delivery.
- I will make your refund within 14 days of the day I receive the item back or, if earlier, the day you give me proof that you have sent it back.
4. Made-to-order and personalised items
Made-to-order items, such as custom blankets and pet beds made to the size, stitch and colours you choose, and personalised items, are made to your specifications or clearly personalised. Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, the 14-day right to cancel does not apply to them.
However, I understand that plans can change. As a goodwill gesture, which does not affect your legal rights:
- Within 24 hours of placing your order: you may cancel a made-to-order or personalised order for any reason by emailing me at support@raindropsnook.com. I will cancel your order and give you a full refund, including any delivery charge.
- After 24 hours: I will usually have ordered materials or begun preparing your item, so I am unable to accept cancellations or give refunds for a change of mind.
The 24 hours start from the time your payment is received. If you have any doubts about your size, colours or other details, please contact me before you pay and I will be happy to help you decide.
Your legal rights if a made-to-order item is faulty or not as confirmed (see section 2) are unaffected. An item is “as described” if it matches the details we agreed in writing before you paid.
5. Digital products
5.1 Your right to cancel
Digital products, such as planners, workbooks, templates and knitting patterns, are supplied immediately after you pay. Before you pay, you are asked to agree to immediate supply and to acknowledge that you will lose your right to cancel once supply begins. I then confirm this in your order email. Once your files have been supplied, you cannot cancel or ask for a refund because you have changed your mind.
This is because digital files cannot be “returned”. Once they have been delivered, they can be kept and used.
5.2 Faulty or incorrect digital products
If a file is faulty, will not open, is incomplete or is not as described, please email me with details, and screenshots if possible. I will:
- first, try to fix the problem, for example by resending your files, sending a corrected version or helping you open them; and
- if I cannot fix the problem within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience to you, give you an appropriate price reduction or a full refund.
A digital product is not faulty just because it does not work with software or devices that the product page did not say it supported. Please check the requirements before you buy. If you are unsure, email me and I will be happy to help.
5.3 Duplicate purchases and files that do not arrive
- If you accidentally buy the same digital product twice, contact me within 14 days and I will refund the duplicate order.
- If your files do not arrive, please check your spam or junk folder, then email me. I will resend them free of charge. Non-delivery is not a reason for a refund unless I am unable to deliver your files.
6. What is not a fault
The following are not faults, and do not give a right to a refund, unless the item was not as described:
- small variations in size, stitch, tension or finish, which are a natural part of handmade items;
- slight differences between colours in real life and on your screen;
- normal wear and tear, or chenille settling and relaxing with use;
- damage caused by accidents, misuse, pets, not following the care guidance, or alterations; and
- for made-to-order items, features that match the details you approved in writing.
7. How refunds work
- Refunds are made to the original payment method through Stripe, unless we agree otherwise.
- I will process refunds without undue delay, and within 14 days of the refund becoming due. Once I have processed a refund, it can take a further 5 to 10 working days to appear in your account, depending on your bank or card provider.
- Refunds are made in pounds sterling (GBP). I am not responsible for exchange rate differences or fees charged by your bank.
- If you used a discount code, your refund will be for the amount you actually paid.
- I will not charge you any fee for processing a refund.
8. Books
My fiction and children’s books are currently sold through Amazon and other retailers. If you bought a book from a retailer, please contact that retailer about returns and refunds, as their policies apply. If I sell books directly through my website in future, this policy will apply to those sales in the same way as ready-made items.
9. Business customers
The consumer cancellation rights described in sections 3 and 5.1 do not apply to business customers. If you are a business customer and something is faulty or not as described, please contact me and I will repair, replace or refund it as appropriate, in line with my Terms and Conditions.
10. Model cancellation form
Complete and return this form only if you wish to cancel your order for a ready-made item. You can copy it into an email to support@raindropsnook.com.

2. Where I deliver
I currently deliver physical items to addresses in mainland UK. At the moment I am not able to deliver to:
- Northern Ireland;
- the Scottish Highlands and Islands, including the Isle of Arran, the Isle of Bute, the Inner and Outer Hebrides, Orkney and Shetland;
- the Isle of Wight and the Isles of Scilly;
- the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands; or
- British Forces (BFPO) addresses.
If your address is in one of these areas, please email me before ordering. I will be happy to check whether delivery is possible and let you know the cost.
3. Digital products
Digital products, such as planners, workbooks, templates and knitting patterns, are not posted. After your payment is confirmed, your personalised files are emailed to the address you gave at checkout, usually within about 15 minutes. If they have not arrived within 24 hours, please check your spam, junk or promotions folder and then email me at support@raindropsnook.com. I will resend them free of charge.
Digital products can be bought and delivered wherever you are in the world.
4. Delivery costs
- Delivery costs depend on the size and weight of your parcel. Chunky blankets and pet beds are bulky, so they are sent as larger parcels.
- For ready-made items, the delivery cost is shown at checkout, before you pay.
- For made-to-order items, the delivery cost is included in the price I confirm to you in writing before you pay.
- Order forms and product pages on my website show the price of the item itself. The total, including delivery, is always shown before you pay, and you will never be charged more than the total you agree to.
5. Processing times
Processing time is the time it takes me to prepare your order before it is handed to the courier.
| Order type | Usual processing time |
|---|---|
| Ready-made items | Within 2 to 4 working days of your order being confirmed |
| Made-to-order and personalised items | Within 2 to 3 weeks from when your order details are confirmed and payment is received, unless I give you a different timescale when confirming your order. I always aim to dispatch sooner wherever possible |
As each made-to-order piece is made by hand, I plan my work carefully so that orders are dispatched within these timescales, and many are ready sooner. During busy periods, such as the weeks before Christmas, processing times may be longer. I will always tell you when confirming your order if I expect a longer timescale, and I will keep you updated if anything changes. For Christmas and other special dates, please order made-to-order items as early as possible and let me know the date you need your item by.
6. Delivery times and tracking
- Parcels are sent with Evri, a tracked courier service. I may occasionally use Royal Mail or another UK courier if this is more suitable for your parcel.
- Delivery usually takes a few working days after dispatch, depending on the courier’s service and your location. Your tracking information will show the expected delivery date. Delivery times are estimates, and delays can sometimes happen, particularly during busy periods or bad weather.
- I will email you when your order has been dispatched, with tracking details where available.
- The courier may send you updates by email or text message, and you may be able to choose a safe place or a neighbour for delivery.
Delivery deadline
Unless we have agreed a different timescale, I will deliver your order within 30 days of the contract being formed. If I fail to deliver within the agreed time, or within 30 days, and the delivery date was essential (for example, you told me you needed it for a particular date), you can treat the contract as ended. Otherwise, you can give me a further reasonable period to deliver and, if I do not deliver within that period, end the contract and receive a full refund.
7. Your delivery address
- Please make sure your delivery address, including your postcode and any flat or house number, is complete and correct before you pay. I will send your order to the address you give me.
- If you notice a mistake, please email me as soon as possible. I can change the address before your order is dispatched, but it may not be possible afterwards.
- If a parcel cannot be delivered and is returned to me because the address was incorrect or incomplete, or because it was not collected from a depot or collection point in time, I will contact you. I may charge the cost of sending it again. If you would prefer to cancel, I will refund the price of the item, less the original delivery cost and the cost of the return to me.
8. Delayed, lost or damaged parcels
8.1 Delayed parcels
If your parcel has not arrived within 5 working days of dispatch, please check the tracking information and then email me. I will look into it with the courier.
8.2 Parcels shown as delivered but not received
Please check with neighbours, any safe place you chose and any card left by the courier, and check the courier’s delivery photograph if one was provided. If you still cannot find your parcel, email me as soon as possible and I will open an investigation with the courier. Courier investigations can take up to 10 working days.
8.3 Lost parcels
If the courier confirms that your parcel has been lost, I will send you a replacement or, if a replacement is not possible (for example, for a one-of-a-kind ready-made piece) or you would prefer, give you a full refund, including delivery costs.
8.4 Damaged parcels
If your parcel arrives damaged, please take photographs of the packaging and the item, and email me as soon as possible, ideally within 48 hours of delivery. This helps me make a claim with the courier, but does not limit your legal rights. My Returns and Refunds Policy explains what I will do.
9. Risk and ownership
Your order is my responsibility until it is delivered to you, or to someone you have nominated to receive it (such as a neighbour or a safe place you have chosen). Ownership of the item passes to you once I have received payment in full.
10. Sending a gift
You are welcome to send an item directly to someone else. Just give me their name and delivery address and let me know it is a gift. I do not include prices or receipts in parcels, and I can add a short handwritten note if you ask. If there is a problem with a gift, the person who placed the order should contact me, as the contract is with them.
11. International orders
I do not currently ship physical items outside the UK. I hope to offer international delivery in future. When I do, I will update this policy to explain:
- which countries I deliver to, and the costs and estimated delivery times;
- that import duties, taxes (such as VAT) and customs charges may be payable by the recipient when the parcel arrives, and are not included in my prices unless I say otherwise; and
- that customs checks can cause delays that are outside my control.
If you live outside the UK and would like to buy a physical item, please email me and I will let you know whether I can help. Digital products can already be bought from anywhere.
12. Contact me

Digital Product Licence
Last updated: 27 September 2026
This Digital Product Licence (“Licence”) explains what you may and may not do with the digital products you buy from Raindrop’s Nook, including planners, workbooks, Excel systems, templates and knitting patterns. It forms part of my Terms and Conditions and applies every time you buy or use one of my digital products.
Each of my digital products takes many hours to design, write, test and check. Buying a licence supports a small, independent business and allows me to keep creating new products. Thank you for respecting it.
1. Licensed, not sold
When you buy a digital product from me, you are buying a licence to use it. You are not buying the copyright or any other intellectual property in it. All copyright, design rights and other intellectual property in my digital products, including the text, instructions, photographs, diagrams, charts, layouts, page designs, spreadsheet structures, formulas and branding, remain owned by me, Ildiko Grof, trading as Raindrop’s Nook.
The licence is non-exclusive (I can license the same product to other people), non-transferable (you cannot pass it on to someone else) and starts when your payment is confirmed. It lasts indefinitely unless it ends under section 12.
2. Definitions
| Term | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Product | Any digital file you buy from me, including PDFs, Excel workbooks, editable templates and knitting patterns, and any updated versions I send you. |
| Licensee or you | The person, or for business purchases the business, named on the order. For a business, “you” means one named individual user within that business (see section 6). |
| Personal use | Use for yourself, your household and gifts to friends and family, and not for any commercial purpose, except as this Licence specifically allows. |
| Finished item | A physical item, such as a blanket or pet bed, that you have made by hand using one of my patterns. |
| Share | To give, send, email, upload, post, lend or otherwise make a Product, or any part of it, available to another person, whether free or for payment. |
3. What every licence allows
Whatever product you buy, you may:
- download the Product and keep copies on your own computers and devices;
- make reasonable backup copies for your own use, including in your own personal cloud storage;
- print the Product, or any pages of it, as many times as you need for the use allowed by this Licence; and
- fill in, edit and add your own information to the Product, where it is designed to be completed or edited.
4. What no licence allows
Unless this Licence specifically allows it, or I have given you written permission, you may not:
- share, forward, resell, give away, lend or distribute the Product, or any part of it, in digital or printed form;
- upload the Product to any website, marketplace, file-sharing service, shared drive, social media group, learning platform or other place where other people can access it;
- sell, publish or distribute printed copies of the Product;
- copy, adapt, translate or reproduce the Product, its design or its structure to create your own product for sale or distribution, including “inspired by” versions that closely copy my wording, layouts or formulas;
- claim the Product, or any part of it, as your own work, or remove or alter my copyright notices, branding or the “Registered to” marking;
- use the Product, or any part of it, to train, develop or improve artificial intelligence or machine-learning systems, or upload it to an AI tool in a way that allows the content to be used or reproduced by others; or
- use the Product in any unlawful way.
If you want to recommend a product to someone, please share a link to my website instead. Thank you!
5. Knitting and craft patterns
| You may | You may not |
|---|---|
| Use the pattern to make as many finished items as you like for yourself, your home and as gifts | Share, sell or publish the pattern, or any part of its instructions, charts, photographs or diagrams |
| Sell finished items you have made by hand from the pattern, on a small scale, for example at craft fairs, markets or in your own online shop | Use the pattern for mass production or factory manufacture, or pay others to make items from it in large quantities for sale |
| Share photographs of your own finished items on social media (tagging Raindrop’s Nook is always appreciated) | Use my photographs of finished items to advertise your own products |
| Change colours, sizes and yarns to make the item your own | Teach a paid class or workshop based on the pattern, or reproduce the pattern in class materials, without my written permission |
If you sell finished items made from my patterns, please credit the design, for example: “Made by [your name] from a Raindrop’s Nook pattern”. You must not describe your items as being made by Raindrop’s Nook or suggest that I endorse your business.
The finished result will depend on your yarn, tools, tension and skill. Photographs show items I have made, and yours may look slightly different.
6. Planners, workbooks and Excel systems
This section applies to my planners, workbooks and Excel systems, including the Professional Landlord Series for property investors, and any other planners I sell.
6.1 Single user licence
Each purchase is a licence for one user. You may use the Product to plan, record and manage your own affairs, including properties and businesses that you own or manage, such as your own property company, partnership or family investment portfolio.
| You may | You may not |
|---|---|
| Use the Product for your own properties, projects, plans and records, including those owned through your own company | Use the Product to provide a paid service to clients, or give copies to clients, tenants, investors or other landlords |
| Enter your own data, and adapt the Product for your own use, for example by adding rows, notes or sheets | Share the Product with colleagues, business partners or other users. Each additional user needs their own licence |
| Show your completed planner or workbook, with your own information, to your own accountant, lender, solicitor or adviser in connection with your affairs | Share a blank, example or copied version of the Product with anyone, or pass on the Example workbook |
| Keep using the Product in future years for your own records | Remove the “Registered to” marking, copyright notices or protection, or rebrand the Product |
6.2 Example and Clean versions
Some systems include an Example version with fictional sample data, to show how the system works, and a Clean version for your own information. Both versions are covered by this Licence. Any names, properties, figures and scenarios in the Example version are fictional and for illustration only.
7. Teacher templates and classroom resources
My teacher templates, trackers and classroom resources are licensed for use by one teacher.
| You may | You may not |
|---|---|
| Use, edit and adapt the templates for your own classes and teaching | Share the templates, or your edited versions, with other teachers, departments or your whole school |
| Print copies and give them to your own pupils, and display them in your own classroom | Upload the templates to a shared staff drive, school website, public learning platform or resource-sharing site |
| Share completed resources with your own class through your school’s secure, password-protected learning platform, where only your pupils can access them | Sell, or share for free, the templates or resources based on them on resource-sharing or marketplace websites |
| Keep using the templates if you move to a new school | Claim the templates as your own work |
If your colleagues, department or school would like to use a template, please ask them to buy their own licence, or contact me about a multi-user or school licence (see section 11).
8. Registered files and copy protection
Every digital product is personalised for its buyer. Each page of PDF files, and the footer of spreadsheet files, is marked “Registered to” followed by the name entered at checkout. This helps show that each copy was legitimately purchased and helps me identify copies that have been shared without permission.
You must not remove, hide, edit or obscure the “Registered to” marking or my copyright notices. Please remember that your name will appear on any copy of your files. If your files are shared, your name will travel with them.
9. Updates and corrections
From time to time, I may correct errors or release updated versions of a Product. Where I do, I may, at my discretion, send the updated version to existing customers free of charge. Updated versions are covered by this Licence. A new edition of a product (for example, a new year’s edition of a planner) is a separate product and is not included in your licence unless I say otherwise.
10. No professional advice
My planners, workbooks, Excel systems and templates are organisational tools. They help you plan, organise and record information. They are not financial, investment, property, tax, legal, accounting, educational or other professional advice, and they do not guarantee any result, return or compliance with any law.
- Calculations and results depend entirely on the information and assumptions you enter.
- Reference information, for example about rules in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, was checked at the date stated in the Product and may have changed since. Please always check current requirements.
- You are responsible for your own decisions, and should take professional advice where appropriate.
11. If you need a wider licence
If you would like to use a Product in a way this Licence does not allow, for example for several users in a business, across a whole school, for a paid workshop or for larger-scale production of finished items, please email me at support@raindropsnook.com. I will be happy to discuss an extended licence. Any extended licence must be agreed in writing.
12. Breach of this Licence
If you break this Licence, for example by sharing or reselling a Product, your licence to use that Product will end automatically. You must then stop using it and delete all copies in your possession.
Sharing or selling my products without permission infringes my copyright. I actively look for unauthorised copies. Where I find them, I may take action, including asking platforms to remove them, recovering any losses I have suffered and, where appropriate, taking legal action.
If you see my products being shared or sold without permission, I would be very grateful if you could let me know at support@raindropsnook.com.
13. Your legal rights
This Licence does not affect your legal rights as a consumer, including your rights if a Product is faulty or not as described. Please see my Terms and Conditions and my Returns and Refunds Policy. It also does not restrict anything you are allowed to do by law, such as fair dealing for the purposes of criticism, review or quotation.
14. Changes to this Licence
I may update this Licence from time to time. The version that applies to your purchase is the version published on my website at the time you bought the Product, so any changes will not reduce the rights you already have.

Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 27 September 2026
I want everyone to be able to use my website and enjoy my products, whatever their abilities, the device they use or the way they access the internet. This statement explains how accessible my website and products are, where I know there are still limitations, and how to get help or alternative formats.
It applies to raindropsnook.com and to the digital products I sell.
1. My commitment
Raindrop’s Nook is a one-person business, run by me, Ildiko Grof. I build and look after my website myself, so improving accessibility is an ongoing part of my work rather than a one-off task. I am committed to:
- making my website as accessible and easy to use as I reasonably can;
- fixing accessibility problems as soon as I become aware of them; and
- making reasonable adjustments, such as providing information in another format or helping you to order by email, if something is difficult for you to use.
2. The standard I aim for
I aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. These are internationally recognised guidelines, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), which explain how to make websites more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, hearing, motor and cognitive impairments.
My website is partially compliant with WCAG 2.2 AA. This means that most of it meets the standard, but some parts do not yet. These are listed in section 5.
3. What I have done
- Clear structure: each page has one main heading and a logical order of headings, which helps people using screen readers to understand and move around the page.
- Skip to content: a “skip to content” link lets keyboard and screen reader users jump past the menu to the main content.
- Page language: pages are set as British English, so screen readers pronounce content correctly.
- Readable design: I use a clear, consistent layout, readable fonts, dark text on light backgrounds and buttons that look and work the same way across the website.
- Responsive design: the website adapts to different screen sizes, so it can be used on phones and tablets, and can be zoomed up to 200% without content being lost.
- Text alternatives: I add descriptions to meaningful images, and mark purely decorative images so screen readers can skip them.
- Forms: my contact and custom order forms have visible labels for each field.
- Colour names: my colour guides show the name of each yarn colour as text, so you do not need to rely on seeing the colour itself.
- Cookie choices: you can accept, reject or manage cookies using clearly labelled buttons, and reopen your settings at any time.
- Plain English: I try to write clearly and avoid jargon, including in my policies.
4. Using my website
My website is designed so that you can:
- zoom in up to 200% without the text spilling off the screen;
- navigate most of the website using just a keyboard;
- navigate most of the website using speech recognition software;
- listen to most of the website using a screen reader, such as NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver or TalkBack; and
- change colours, contrast levels and fonts using your browser or device settings.
My website works best with the latest versions of Google Chrome, Apple Safari, Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Edge. AbilityNet’s My Computer My Way has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.
5. Known limitations
I know that some parts of my website and products are not yet fully accessible:
| Area | Limitation | What I am doing |
|---|---|---|
| Image descriptions | Some images, including some product and marketing images, do not yet have text descriptions. | Adding descriptions to all meaningful images during my next website review. |
| Text in images | Some product graphics and covers contain text within the image. The key information is also given in the page text. | Making sure important information is always in the page text too. |
| Pop-up messages | Some pages for products that are still in development show a “coming soon” message when they open. | These messages can be closed with the keyboard or the Escape key, and I will keep checking them with screen readers. |
| Colour choices | Some product photographs show colours that may be hard to tell apart. | Colour names are always given as text. Email me if you would like help choosing. |
| Digital products | My printable PDFs and Excel systems are designed mainly for printing and on-screen use. They are not yet fully optimised for screen readers. | See section 6. Alternative formats are available on request. |
| Third-party content | Some parts of the buying process are provided by other companies (see section 7). | I choose providers that take accessibility seriously. |
6. Digital products and alternative formats
My planners, workbooks, templates and knitting patterns are designed to be printed or used on screen. Some use colour, tables and layout to organise information, which can be harder to use with a screen reader. Where possible:
- PDF planners include clickable contents pages and bookmarks for easier navigation;
- Excel systems use clear sheet names and text labels, not colour alone, to explain what to enter; and
- knitting patterns use written step-by-step instructions alongside photographs.
If you need a product in a different format, such as a large-print version, a plain-text version of pattern instructions or help using an Excel system with assistive technology, please email me at support@raindropsnook.com before or after you buy. I will do my best to provide a suitable alternative free of charge, where this is reasonably possible. If I cannot provide a suitable format for a product you have already bought, I will offer you a refund.
7. Third-party services
Some services on or linked from my website are provided by other companies, and I do not control their accessibility:
- Stripe provides the secure checkout page where you pay. Stripe publishes information about the accessibility of its checkout.
- Social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest) and book retailers such as Amazon have their own accessibility features and statements.
If you have difficulty with any of these, please contact me and I will help you complete your order another way.
8. Help with ordering
If you find any part of the ordering process difficult, you do not need to use the website. Email me at support@raindropsnook.com and I will be happy to help you choose a product, place a custom order or arrange payment in another way that suits you. I will not charge you extra for this.
9. Feedback and contact
Please tell me if you have difficulty using any part of my website or products, or if you notice something I could improve. When you contact me, it helps to include:
- the web address (URL) of the page, or the name of the product;
- a description of the problem; and
- the device, browser and any assistive technology you use.
I will acknowledge your message within 2 working days and aim to give you a full response, or fix the problem, within 10 working days. If a fix will take longer, I will tell you what I am doing and when I expect it to be done.
10. How I test accessibility
I carried out an initial self-assessment of my website in September 2026, using automated checks of key pages, including the home page, shop and collection pages, product pages, the custom order form and the contact page. It checked page language, heading structure, skip links and image descriptions.
A fuller manual review, including keyboard navigation, screen reader testing, zoom and colour contrast, is planned by [date for full review]. I will update this statement with the results.
I review accessibility whenever I add major new features or pages, and at least once a year.
11. If you are not happy with my response
Under the Equality Act 2010, service providers must make reasonable adjustments so that disabled people are not placed at a substantial disadvantage. If you are not happy with how I have responded to your request, please contact me again so that I can try to put things right.
You can also contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS) for free advice, at equalityadvisoryservice.com or on 0808 800 0082. If you live in Northern Ireland, you can contact the Equality Commission for Northern Ireland at equalityni.org.
12. Reviewing this statement
This statement was prepared on 27 September 2026. I will review and update it at least once a year, and whenever I make significant changes to my website. The next review is due by September 2027.
If you have any questions about accessibility, please get in touch:
